Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with a strong understanding of investment principles and portfolio management. A Master’s degree or CFA designation is preferred, and at least 5 years of experience in investment analysis or portfolio management is required. Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret financial data and develop investment recommendations.
The Senior Research & Portfolio Analyst will conduct initial due diligence on third-party asset managers using the Mason Street Advisors investment research process, including qualitative and quantitative analysis. They will perform portfolio construction for multi-manager sub-advised funds, manage overall portfolio risk and factor exposures, and monitor manager weights and cash flows. The role involves ongoing performance monitoring, attribution analysis, and reporting, as well as consulting on investment strategy and participating in Network Office calls. Furthermore, the analyst will provide investment research commentaries and content for financial advisors and internal partners, and collaborate with compliance, operations, and legal teams.
