Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including both technical and non-technical roles at a Series A to Series D startup (prefer candidates with B2C, mobile and/or marketplace product experience)
  • Love sourcing and thrive figuring out creative ways to source strong candidates vs. only waiting for inbound candidates
  • Care about the craft of recruiting: part of recruiting communities, read articles on improving the craft, enjoy learning what's new in the industry
  • Experimenting with AI tools and on the way to becoming an expert (e.g., Juicebox, Cursor, ChatGPT, Glean, and other internal AI tools)
  • Passionate about connecting great people to meaningful work and thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven environments
  • First-principles thinker who knows what great recruiting looks like, challenges and recalibrates when needed
  • Confident guiding hiring managers and helping them grow into capable, inclusive hiring leaders
  • Understand recruiting as the first step in the HR lifecycle; excited about People Ops and DEI initiatives
  • Strong judgment, curiosity, and confidence to push for clarity when things are ambiguous

Responsibilities

  • Strategic partner to hiring managers: help clarify needs, shape role design, interview process, and success profile
  • Full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles: own searches end-to-end including sourcing, interviewing, offer management, and closing; balance multiple pipelines with urgency and accountability
  • Champion candidate experience: design and deliver human, transparent, respectful processes where candidates feel seen and valued
  • Build recruiting systems and practices: improve workflows, tools, and training for efficiency and scalability, especially outbound efforts; share insights for smarter, faster, inclusive hiring
  • Mission ambassador: communicate Propel’s values, vision, and impact to inspire exceptional talent
  • Partner closely with VP of People and Talent Acquisition Manager to grow the team reflecting mission, values, and communities served
  • Refine and improve existing recruiting system (e.g., maintain/improve 30-day avg time to hire, 55-day avg time to fill, 95% candidate satisfaction, 90% offer acceptance)
