Requirements

  • Expertise in defining, implementing, and maintaining quality operations and processes aligned with Medtronic standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience acting as primary liaison with external partners (e.g., distribution centers, 3PL providers) to manage and resolve quality events
  • Ability to provide oversight for internal distribution center quality activities, including monitoring, reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures
  • Knowledge to interpret and provide expert guidance on internal policies, regulatory, governmental requirements, and quality standards
  • Skills in leading preparation for internal/external audits and inspections, managing resolutions, and handling documentation (e.g., CAPAs)
  • Capability to ensure review, update, and global standardization of quality assurance programs and policies
  • Proven people leadership experience managing large teams of experienced professionals and managers, including strategy translation, performance goals, evaluations, talent development, hiring, promotions, and rewards
  • Ability to operate with significant autonomy, lead high-impact programs/projects, influence cross-functionally, develop new objectives/policies/standards, and address complex problems

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and maintain quality operation requirements and processes with distribution partners and 3PL providers, ensuring alignment with standards and regulations; act as primary liaison for quality events
  • Provide full oversight for internal distribution center quality activities, including continuous monitoring, reporting, trend analysis, and driving continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures; provide expert guidance on policies, regulations, and standards for compliance
  • Lead preparation for internal and external audits/inspections; manage resolution of findings; liaise with auditing bodies; prepare/submit reports and documentation (e.g., CAPAs)
  • Ensure quality assurance programs and policies are reviewed, updated, aligned with best practices/regulatory changes, and globally standardized
  • Lead and manage a large team: translate strategy into plans, set performance goals, conduct evaluations, oversee talent development/engagement/inclusion, authorize hiring/promotions/rewards
  • Operate autonomously to interpret objectives, implement business plans, lead high-impact programs/projects (potentially with budget/P&L), develop new objectives/policies/standards, and solve complex problems
