Requirements

  • U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 8+ years of prior relevant experience as a Manufacturing and/or Process Engineer
  • Experience with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, and Quality
  • Experience with Quality standards including AS9145, AS9100D, ISO9001:2015 or equivalent
  • Experience working with multiple sites
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement (CI) Tools
  • Able to communicate and make presentations to senior/executive level leadership
  • Ability to develop and mentor team members & leaders
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with JD Edwards and/or other ERP systems
  • Experience with advanced structures (aerospace)
  • Military and Commercial experience
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE Certification)
  • Designated Quality Representative experience
  • Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE Certification)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product conformity across all Value Streams of Berea, Ohio & Skokie, Illinois facilities
  • Implement and maintain QMS certifications (AS9100, AS13100, AS9145, FAA, EASA, NADCAP, etc.)
  • Maintain calibration, production control, and monitoring systems
  • Represent the Quality function for the respective SBU, interfacing with internal and external customers
  • Partner with Enterprise Quality to ensure alignment that meets customers, standard agencies, and company QMS
  • Leverage Enterprise Quality groups for expertise in quality planning and execution across product and program lifecycle, including technical/process problem solving, Continuous Improvement, supplier quality, training, and executive support
  • Ensure front-end Quality Plans are developed and incorporated in contracts and SOW, aligning with product lifecycle, production, supply chain, and sustainable compliance
  • Incorporate data-driven budget planning for quality to enable product/process compliance and Continuous Improvement execution at program and site levels
  • Establish and facilitate the Corrective Action Board and Management Review processes for the SBU to measure, review, and improve quality results per QMS
  • Ensure consistent QMS flow-down to sites, suppliers, and aftermarket; establish systemic platform for reviews/actions to reduce defects/escapes and achieve cost improvements
  • Establish ongoing review processes for compliance, continuous improvement, and maturity internally, with suppliers, and aftermarket support; reach out to Enterprise Quality as needed
  • Own improving/reporting of KPIs related to quality performance (CoPQ, Concerns, PQP/PCX, etc.)
