Candidates should possess strong database knowledge, including relational and non-relational databases, with the ability to query and test data. Hands-on experience with the Playwright automation framework, preferably in JavaScript, is required, along with proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and debugging. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins, command-line proficiency in Linux, and a good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes are essential. Familiarity with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration, experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and QA processes are also necessary. Strong communication skills are needed for effective team collaboration. Exposure to API testing tools, performance testing tools, test management tools, and basic knowledge of cloud platforms are considered advantageous.
The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test strategies and test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend systems within an Agile environment. This includes writing and executing database queries to validate data integrity and ensure end-to-end functionality, as well as developing and maintaining test automation using Playwright. Responsibilities also involve utilizing Python and Bash scripting for test automation, reporting, and CI/CD integrations, and working with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins to automate test execution. The role requires working with Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies to test cloud-native applications, leveraging Ansible for provisioning and configuration management, and utilizing monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance. Additionally, the engineer will perform manual and exploratory testing to identify defects early and collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to enhance test coverage and improve quality assurance processes.
