Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 additional years of experience in managing complex financial projects
  • Oracle experience (mandatory)
  • Previous experience in oil and gas company (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex and multidisciplinary projects realizing major changes in the organization (long-term horizon of 2-3 years, with results visible after at least 2 years)
  • Design and implement internal controls over financial reporting, including accounting policy implementations, SOX, distributed controllership, process simplification, and internal controls over IPP monitoring and risk
  • Serve as controllership experts on financial system and ERP implementations
  • Advise management in the function and/or business, with a supportive role in decision-making on important subjects
  • Present solutions or functional area business solutions to leaders in the business on functional discipline
  • Work with cross-functional teams and have major influence on small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L
  • Handle communication with colleagues and business leaders about changes in policy and implementation
  • Act as a skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others
  • Drive technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, and process simplification
