Job Description

PayNearMe is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of their next-generation money movement platform. This role will focus on the systems that power how money flows through the ecosystem, with an emphasis on settlement, reconciliation, and general ledger integrations. The Senior Product Manager will be central to the financial infrastructure, collaborating across product, engineering, and accounting teams to build scalable and reliable payment systems. Key responsibilities include driving execution across multiple payment rails and integrations, ensuring operational accuracy, compliance, and performance at scale. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in the payments ecosystem, particularly in bill pay, money movement, and financial reconciliation, and be comfortable with backend systems, cross-functional roadmaps, and strategic product direction. This is a high-impact role designed to shape the future of money movement and tracking within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy for money movement general ledgering systems, ensuring accurate fund flow and accounting across internal platforms.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements for key areas such as settlement timing, transaction visibility, reconciliation tooling, and error handling.
  • Communicate the product development roadmap across agile teams.
  • Define and document user stories to guide technical product requirements and implementation in existing and new platforms.
  • Own the organization of the backlog and proactively collaborate with Engineering management to ensure proper prioritization.
  • Lead refinement and planning sessions to ensure teams have adequately planned work.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, bridging the gap between business needs and technical tasks by collaborating with other product teams, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to enhance money movement capabilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop products that meet business needs.
