We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our product team, which currently consists of our co-founder and four senior PMs. As a PM on our banking team, you will tackle problems related to account funding, reconciliations, prepaid card infrastructure, and other core banking operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage Product Roadmap: Work with stakeholders to define what to build and when. Generate clarity and make decisions in uncertain situations.
- Frame Problems: Clearly articulate the problems being solved and their importance to engineers and designers.
- Conduct Research and Analysis: Gather supporting evidence through user interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to inform problem framing.
- Devise Solutions: Collaborate with designers and engineers to define requirements and select appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate Without Meetings: Engage in asynchronous communication and extensive writing, as Tremendous operates with a low-meeting culture.
- Persuade with a Light Touch: Drive decisions and ensure all stakeholders feel included in the prioritization process.
- Report on Impact: Help the team understand the impact of their work after product launches.
Requirements
- Experience:
- 6+ years building and shipping web applications as a designer, engineer, or product manager at tech companies.
- 2+ years as a PM in startup environments (growth-stage companies).
- Skills:
- Excellent product intuition refined through years of delivering products.
- Solid design judgment to provide feedback to the design team.
- Sufficient technical understanding to collaborate with engineering managers on potential technical approaches.
- Ability to translate long-term strategy and feature backlogs into actionable roadmaps.
- Proficiency in managing uncertainty and ambiguity, making decisive calls with incomplete information.
- Empathy for users and a strong desire to engage with them.
- Outstanding communication skills, particularly strong written communication skills, given our documentation-first culture.
- Ability and desire to work autonomously and drive your own work.
- High empathy for teammates and users.
