The Senior Product Designer I at YouVersion focuses on delivering design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of concepts to the next stage of the design process, and ultimately helping people find intimacy with God. This role utilizes research and intuition to simplify complex topics and contribute to Life.Church’s mission of reaching people for Christ. YouVersion, a ministry of Life.Church, creates biblically-based experiences to encourage and challenge people to seek God.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Seek and Review Feedback: Gather and analyze feedback from users.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with stakeholders to understand and drive design direction.
  • Understand Problems: Identify and define the problems being addressed.
  • Monitor Goals: Review, monitor, and continuously work towards achieving preset goals.
  • Brainstorm Ideas: Collaborate to brainstorm ideas aligning with the mission and goals.
  • Generate Design Concepts: Rapidly create wireframes, user flows, or prototypes.
  • Create Design Comps: Produce high-fidelity design comps, assets, and documentation.
  • Present Designs: Present new design concepts to stakeholders and implement feedback.
  • Test Prototypes: Test prototypes with users and analyze the results.
  • Maintain Design System: Ensure designs are consistent with the brand’s design system, considering platform constraints (iOS, Android, Web, tablets, voice platforms, etc.).
  • Communicate Design Details: Communicate and document the myriad of states, scenarios, and edge cases of a design.
  • Participate in Development: Modify designs as needed, answer questions from engineers, test beta software, and submit bug reports.
