Hands-on experience in development, maintenance and support of high availability software services
Hands-on experience working with Linux (Amazon, Redhat, Centos, or Ubuntu) operating system
Hands-on experience working in distributed systems and high availability solutions including clustering and replication
Hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, web services, and MVC Portals
Hands-on experience with application and performance monitoring tools, and defining monitoring strategies
Conversant on validation procedures and security governance for portal applications
Experience in creating Operations Manual and Standard Operating Procedures
Experience working directly with globally distributed stakeholders driving discussions on Service Requests and Incidents to understand the problem statement and provide optimal solutions
Experience working with globally distributed teams to standardize tasks for consistent results
Sound understanding of IT Service Management processes and tools
Experience with SDLC tools and application servers, such as: SVN, Git, Bitbucket, Maven and/or Artifactory or other package management tools, JIRA for agile planning and issue tracking, Tomcat server, Apache web server
Strong analytical skills and communication skills
Must be a result driven self-motivator and team player
Able to follow-through on tasks and projects
Passionate on continuous learning and keeping up with latest technologies

Responsibilities

Provide end to end support for Medical Device software applications to ensure business continuity
Define and implement monitoring capabilities to analyze trends and anomalies, proactively identify issues and drive resolutions
Service work orders, investigate and resolve incidents within the defined SLAs
Collaborate with Business stakeholders and Level 1 support teams to achieve Customer Satisfaction
Work with in-house application teams and third-party service providers to build knowledge and for resolving incidents
Work with globally distributed operations teams to ensure seamless transition of daily tasks and status updates
Keep up with the emerging technologies and develop new technical skills as needed by applications
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal supervision
Drive root cause analysis on incidents and identify remediation to avoid future occurrences
Develop Standard Operating Procedures to standardize tasks for consistency in operations
