Requirements

  • Reside within the specified territory (San Diego region) and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel with overnight stays up to 50-75% of the time (geography variability)
  • Comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge of CoreValve and other Medtronic TAVR products, including IFUs for safe and effective use
  • Knowledge of current published TAVR and relevant literature
  • Understanding of competitive products, industry trends, and CBT/CVG portfolio
  • Sales experience to achieve/exceed sales quotas, grow market share, and manage territory effectively

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales revenue targets and grow market share by promoting, selling, and servicing Medtronic CoreValve and related products post-approval, ensuring safe adoption and growth
  • Practice good territory management with strong organization, administration, and expense planning/control
  • Provide quality support to help sites achieve procedural success and safe growth of CoreValve
  • Develop and execute strategies/plans to achieve/exceed sales quotas for commercial cases; maintain/expand existing business and develop new opportunities
  • Serve as trusted technical expert for TAVR procedures and products; provide technical support for implanting centers, including scrubbing in to assist with valve loading and case support per IFUs
  • Educate sites/implanting teams on proper indications for TAVR procedures and device suitability (e.g., measuring, CT reconstruction)
  • Probe customer needs, handle objections, gain commitment, and implement strategies to counter competitor messaging
  • Educate customers to ensure products are understood and used effectively
  • Represent company at industry conferences to gain sales leads and promote product portfolio
  • Act as liaison with R&D for technology improvements and next-generation needs
  • Provide technical leadership and support to Medtronic employees and implanting teams for CoreValve procedures per Medtronic guidance
  • Partner/resource to CVG field organization and CBT cross-functional teams (Medical Education, Marketing, Research, Development)
