Requirements

Candidates should have 4+ years of experience in software development, focusing on DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering. Strong experience is required in automating code lifecycle management, including release management and infrastructure management with Terraform or other IaC tooling. Experience with instrumentation and observability best practices for application monitoring and optimization across multiple environments is essential. The role also requires experience in defining standards for quality, security, scalability, and availability, with a focus on delivering business value. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is expected.

Responsibilities

The Senior Platform Engineer will utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for reproducible and scalable environment setups. They will design and implement infrastructure for AWS-hosted applications, supporting event-driven systems and serverless functions. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, and AWS CodePipeline. The engineer will also develop tools and workflows to automate the software development lifecycle, own the observability pipeline for application monitoring, and scale infrastructure to meet increasing demand while managing costs. Additionally, they will help inform security and compliance best practices for a regulated work environment and ensure architecture meets these demands.
