About The Job

BrainGu is in search of a Senior Platform Engineer to enhance the security, scalability, and efficiency of our software development lifecycle through the integration of cutting-edge platform and DevSecOps practices. This critical role involves collaborating with software engineering teams to embed security into every stage of the development process, automate infrastructure provisioning, and ensure continuous compliance with security standards.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will leverage your deep expertise in cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security practices to drive the adoption of platform and DevSecOps methodologies, tools, and best practices across our projects. Your contributions will be pivotal in building resilient, secure applications and fostering a culture of security and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Security Integration: Implement and manage security tools and practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that security is integrated into every phase of software development and deployment.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Lead efforts in automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, streamlining the deployment processes and ensuring consistency across environments.
  • Monitoring and Compliance: Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring solutions to track application and infrastructure health, security threats, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineering, QA, and IT teams to embed DevSecOps practices into the development lifecycle, promoting a collaborative approach to security and operations.

What We Look For

  • 3-5 years experience with cybersecurity such as hardening systems and security/information assurance compliance regimes
  • 3-5 years experience with microservices orchestration and cloud platforms
  • 5-7 years experience in Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
  • 5-7 years experience working with CI/CD techniques using version control, DevOps technology and automated configuration management

What Tech You'll Use

  • Cloud Technologies: Proficiency with AWS, Azure, GCP, including their respective security tools and services.
  • Container Orchestration: Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes for managing containerization.
