Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on database automation and infrastructure-as-code. Experience with Azure cloud environments, particularly database services, is essential, along with proficiency in tools like Terraform and Ansible. Strong knowledge of database concepts, schema migration tools, and CI/CD pipelines is required, and experience with query analysis and compliance checks is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain internal tooling to automate database-related workflows, including schema migration pipelines and DDL evaluation. You will establish and track metrics to measure the impact of database changes, integrate tooling into CI/CD pipelines, manage Azure database environments with infrastructure-as-code, and partner with database engineers to codify best practices into self-service tools. Furthermore, you will collaborate with security and compliance teams to automate data governance and retention policies, and build observability into your tooling to ensure changes are visible and easily debugged.
