Post Silicon Validation Engineer
GroqFull Time
Mid-level (3 to 4 years), Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates should possess a degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field with equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years of optical testing and/or optical packaging experience is required, along with a strong background in Silicon Photonics design, fabrication, test, packaging, and assembly. Hands-on experience in photonics testing at wafer or chip-scale, building and qualifying photonics test equipment, and analyzing test data is essential. Strong statistical analysis skills, understanding of quality control, statistical process control, and DOE techniques, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills are also necessary. Experience in Silicon Photonics device design or fabrication, and familiarity with opto-mechanical software tools like AutoCad or Zemax are advantageous.
The Senior Photonics Test Engineer will lead photonics test development for NVIDIA's next-generation Silicon Photonics products and platforms. Responsibilities include defining test methodologies, test flow, and parameters, as well as designing and developing photonics test equipment and executing various photonics test flows. The role involves partnering with test integration vendors to install, enhance, and qualify photonics test equipment across multiple sites. Collaboration with internal design, fabrication, and packaging teams, as well as external fabrication, assembly, substrate, and test vendors, is crucial for developing new test requirements, test flows, and test structures. The engineer will also share data, lead new photonics testing processes, and drive continuous improvement in testing cycle time and test quality/reliability.
