Position Overview

Harvey is a secure AI platform for legal and professional services that augments productivity and automates complex workflows. Harvey uses algorithms with reasoning-adept LLMs that have been customized and developed by our expert team of lawyers, engineers and research scientists. We’ve found product market fit and are scaling our team very quickly.

As our Senior People Systems Analyst, you’ll own and scale the systems that power our People function, with Workday at the core. You’ll be the go-to expert for our HR tech stack—leading configuration, integrations, automation, and data governance across key Workday modules. This role is about more than keeping the system running; it’s about using technology to enhance the employee experience, streamline operations, and enable Harvey to grow globally with precision and care. You’ll work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT to ensure our people systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Workday functional and technical expert, owning configuration, optimization, and support for Core HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, and Advanced Reporting.
  • Lead Workday roadmap planning and execution, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment—balancing short-term fixes with long-term scale.
  • Design and implement automation and workflows to streamline HR operations, onboarding, compensation cycles, performance reviews, and organizational changes.
  • Own Workday data integrity, security configuration, audit readiness, and compliance alignment (SOC2, GDPR, etc.).
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal to ensure accurate data flows between Workday and other systems (e.g., payroll, equity, identity access management, background checks, and ticketing platforms).
  • Create dashboards and reports to support business planning, headcount tracking, and workforce analytics.
  • Troubleshoot complex Workday issues and drive resolution through root cause analysis and system configuration changes.
  • Manage releases, testing, and change management processes for new Workday features or enhancements.
  • Advise on best practices and Workday capabilities to support Harvey’s global growth, M&A activity, or evolving org structure.
  • Contribute to building a thoughtful, data-forward, and employee-centric People Technology foundation at Harvey.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Workday experience in high-growth or global organizations, including hands-on configuration across multiple modules.
  • Deep knowledge of Core HCM and at least two of: Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent/Performance, or Advanced Compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable processes and workflows in Workday, aligned to business priorities.
  • Experience owning Workday security roles and audit controls.
  • Strong experience with integrations to and from Workday, including Core Connectors, Enterprise Integration Builder (EIB), Web Services (WWS) / APIs, and Report-as-a-Service (RaaS).
  • Fluency with Workday Report Writer and dashboards; experience with calculated fields and custom objects is a strong plus.
  • Strong data hygiene, governance, and analytical mindset - you proactively design systems to avoid data issues.
