Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with increasing levels of responsibility
  • At least 5 years as a direct manager/supervisor in operations or engineering management
  • Experience in catheter manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of operational tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement, with demonstrated success in achieving effective financial results
  • Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries that adhere to regulations

Responsibilities

  • Manage supervisors and other manufacturing personnel to measure and achieve targeted production and attainment goals
  • Manage engineers to achieve targeted quality, yield, and continuous improvement (CIP) goals
  • Meet demand plan, quality, efficiency, and budget objectives for respective product lines
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to provide necessary resources, equipment, and organizational structure to meet demand plans, support new product introductions, and engineering builds
  • Ensure compliance with the Division Quality Policy for all manufacturing personnel, operations, and engineering
  • Provide strategic direction to align manufacturing and engineering functions with long-term strategic plans
  • Maintain full budget responsibility and profit/loss (P&L) cost target objectives
  • Provide technical support and expertise as needed to solve problems and improve manufacturing processes
  • Justify and approve capital expenses for equipment replacement, capacity increases, and operational enhancements
  • Hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and provide ongoing performance feedback
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment
  • Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
