Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with increasing levels of responsibility
At least 5 years as a direct manager/supervisor in operations or engineering management
Experience in catheter manufacturing strongly preferred
Working knowledge of operational tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement, with demonstrated success in achieving effective financial results
Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries that adhere to regulations

Responsibilities

Manage supervisors and other manufacturing personnel to measure and achieve targeted production and attainment goals
Manage engineers to achieve targeted quality, yield, and continuous improvement (CIP) goals
Meet demand plan, quality, efficiency, and budget objectives for respective product lines
Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to provide necessary resources, equipment, and organizational structure to meet demand plans, support new product introductions, and engineering builds
Ensure compliance with the Division Quality Policy for all manufacturing personnel, operations, and engineering
Provide strategic direction to align manufacturing and engineering functions with long-term strategic plans
Maintain full budget responsibility and profit/loss (P&L) cost target objectives
Provide technical support and expertise as needed to solve problems and improve manufacturing processes
Justify and approve capital expenses for equipment replacement, capacity increases, and operational enhancements
Hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and provide ongoing performance feedback
Maintain a safe and professional work environment
Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
