Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in a network engineering role, preferably with an IT&T System Integrator or similar organization. Required certifications include Fortinet Firewall/SD-WAN (FCSS), FCP (Switching and Wireless), and/or Aruba Switching/Wireless Stack (ACSA, ACMP), along with at least two other vendor network-related industry certifications. Strong knowledge of Fortinet, Cisco/Meraki, HP-Aruba, and Palo Alto networking technologies is essential, and experience within the ITIL framework is highly regarded. Experience with Next-Gen Firewalls, Routing, SD-WAN, Switching, and Wireless technologies from vendors like Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki, HP-Aruba, and Palo Alto is required. Service Provider Routing, Security Appliances, Orchestration Tools, Log Management, Network Load Balancing, and Azure/AWS Networking are considered advantageous.
The Senior Network Engineer will plan, design, and execute wired and wireless network solutions, assessing and improving current network infrastructure. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Project Management Office and Lead Engineer to ensure solutions meet design, statement of work, and scheduling milestones, as well as developing project schedules and managing variations. The role involves configuring, testing, and executing network cutovers for scalability, security, redundancy, and dependability, and assisting with WAN Services configuration and cutover. Additionally, the engineer will address project-related incidents according to SLAs, follow Incident and Change Management protocols, identify obstacles, offer alternative approaches, manage project plans, prioritize tasks, and prepare progress reports. The position also requires providing project artifacts, facilitating smooth project handovers to operational teams, and participating in vendor training or self-study to achieve certifications.
