Candidates should possess at least 5-7 years of experience as a network engineer or administrator, demonstrating knowledge of network design principles and telecommunications technologies. Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack is required, along with experience with switches, routers, and firewalls from various enterprise vendors such as Juniper, Mikrotik, Aruba, Cisco, and experience with client-based remote access VPN solutions. Experience with network virtualization platforms like oVirt and Virtuozzo, as well as cloud networking environments (Azure, GCP, AWS), is also necessary. Basic knowledge of VoIP technologies and protocols (SIP, H.323) is beneficial, and familiarity with Linux OS administration, including shell scripting, DNS, DHCP, and nftables/iptables, is highly desired.
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Acronis network infrastructure to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operations, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and proactively resolving them. They will collaborate with the Security team to secure the network, coordinate with ISPs, manage remote access and site-to-site VPNs, maintain the VoIP infrastructure, and manage networking for virtualization clusters and cloud computing environments. Additionally, the role involves managing IPAM (Netbox), network virtualization, and implementing/managing technologies such as NAT, VLAN, xSTP, LACP, ACL, QoS, GRE over IPsec, VRF-lite, VRRP, PBR, RADIUS, SNMP, Netflow, and IPv6.
