Requirements

Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable enterprise and cloud networking infrastructure
Proficiency in configuring and managing routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and transport networks
Knowledge of administering core network services such as DHCP, VLANs, dynamic routing protocols, SD-WAN
Experience deploying and managing Arista, Fortinet, and other network devices
Familiarity with supporting structured cabling systems (fiber, copper) and maintaining network topology diagrams
Ability to work with network vendors and service providers for resilient connectivity
Skills in operating and improving network monitoring stacks for faults, performance, capacity, and security
Expertise in proactively monitoring and optimizing network health, capacity, and throughput
Capability to lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex network incidents
Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools and platforms (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump, NetDisco, Eve-NG, Netbox)
Experience implementing and enforcing network security policies, segmentation, and access controls
Knowledge of configuring encryption and tunneling protocols (WireGuard/Tailscale, IPsec, SSL VPNs)
Ability to collaborate with security teams on vulnerability management, audits, and incident response
Alignment with ITIL-based practices for Change, Incident, and Problem Management
Skills in managing networks programmatically and automating with Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar tools
Availability for hybrid role with minimum 2+ days per week in Toronto office

Responsibilities

Work with network vendors and service providers to deliver resilient and high-performance connectivity
Operate and improve the network monitoring stack to alert on faults, performance, capacity, and security issues
Proactively monitor and optimize network health, capacity, and throughput
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex incidents
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and network management platforms (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump, NetDisco, Eve-NG, Netbox) to investigate and resolve issues
