This role is for an ambitious Senior Manager, Technical Program Manager who will lead a remote-first, diverse team of TPMs to drive impactful product development programs. You will lead and manage experienced TPMs, ensuring technical excellence and team growth through mentorship, project execution, and obstacle removal. This hands-on leadership role also involves directly leading programs, building plans and strategies, identifying risks, and communicating them to stakeholders. You will be a key contributor to the success of the Product and Engineering teams and shape the future of Technical Program Management at Cribl. This role reports to the Head of Technical Program Management.

Responsibilities

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of experienced TPMs.
  • Attract, hire, and nurture top talent while promoting an inclusive and diverse team environment.
  • Collaborate closely with other leaders to ensure alignment across cross-functional teams and achieve company-wide goals.
  • Provide technical leadership for engineering programs and lead the end-to-end delivery of complex programs across multiple teams, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Act as a change advocate, initiating and leading multiple organizations through pivots to address shifts in business trends and priorities.
  • Drive Technical Program Management best practices and develop best-of-class software development processes.
  • Use deep technical skills and domain knowledge to influence the strategic direction of teams and the product and engineering department.
  • Define and track improvements to metrics for quality and performance across complex projects involving many teams.
  • Develop methods for ongoing communication of planning, program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Occasionally perform duties outside standard working hours due to the remote-first, multi-timezone nature of the company.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience within software teams as a Manager of TPM or development.
  • Proven experience leading distributed TPM and engineering teams with a focus on collaboration and effective delivery.
  • Experience delivering complex programs or solutions that span different groups within an organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
  • Experience influencing senior leadership and technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Ability to explain analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
