Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Operations Management, and have at least 10 years of experience in technical operations and observability, with a strong understanding of SRE principles. Demonstrated experience leading and managing technical teams is essential, along with a proven ability to drive operational excellence and improve system reliability.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, Technical Operations & Observability, you will lead teams responsible for ensuring the operational health and efficiency of Altana’s technical infrastructure, encompassing Observability, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Incident Management, and internal IT Operations. You will work closely with peer teams to leverage data from Observability and FinOps to gain a holistic understanding of the production platform’s performance, reliability, and cost profile, using these insights to drive strategic initiatives and enhance technical reliability and efficiency. Additionally, you will ensure our IT Operations provide a stable, secure, and efficient environment that empowers the entire team, and actively engage with peers regarding production infrastructure cost and utilization.
