Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship for employment visas)
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Preferred Requirements
  • Advanced degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain management or relevant technical field
  • 8+ years relevant experience
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Experience with strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., market research, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, risk management)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies on assigned commodities with team of commodity managers; directly manage a few business-critical commodities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Global Sourcing team, Engineering, Operations, Business Units, Quality, etc.) in executing strategies
  • Improve quality, delivery, and cost to meet Strategic Sourcing targets and initiatives
  • Stay informed about design, product, and market requirements from Business Units and share market and supplier developments
  • Track and implement action plans with external partners and internal teams to improve Strategic Sourcing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), supporting manufacturing locations regionally and globally
  • Conduct regular business reviews with strategic and critical suppliers
  • Source new and potential suppliers to support business requirements
  • Identify strategic sourcing best practices and drive them into the Rockwell strategic sourcing toolkit and sourcing strategies
  • Manage Continuous Improvement (CI) special projects with enterprise-wide impact
  • Develop team to build functional and leadership capabilities
  • Facilitate information sharing to global commodity team and other internal teams to enhance collaboration and adoption of best practices
  • Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws (e.g., Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, health, safety, quality, environmental regulations, and functional policies)
