Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese language
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a technical leadership role, preferred in an IT vendor similar to Cohesity (i.e. subscription-based software/SaaS)
  • Experience in the following technical areas required: Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Linux CLI, IT infrastructure, cyber-security
  • Additional experience highly desirable in: Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance, Database Protection and Recovery, Distributed Systems, Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Layer 2 Networking and Firewalls, Scripting/Automation, Visio or equivalent application
  • Excellent communication and project-related skills
  • Strong verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience in leading effective meetings to achieve project goals
  • The ability to manage projects and to drive to a deadline

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Technical Sales team in Japan
  • Working with the Japan Country Manager and the APJ CTO to define and execute on the technical go-to-market plan for Japan
  • Accountability for the business performance of Cohesity’s solution offerings portfolio in Japan
  • Ensuring the effective positioning of Cohesity’s solution offerings to our customers in Japan
  • Leading the technical engagement with Cohesity’s channel partners in Japan
  • Working as part of the International Technical Sales Leadership team to define and execute the technology engagement lifecycle for the Geography
  • Assuring the effective delivery of post-sales technical services in Japan
  • Leveraging Cohesity’s global technical community – including Technical Sales, Engineering and Product Management – to support customer and partner engagement in Japan
  • Acting as Cohesity’s “CTO” for Japan, with direct, senior-level engagements with customers, partners, analysts and press
