About the Role: The Senior Manager, Provider Operations will be responsible for the management and oversight of clinician supply and engagement at Wheel. This role encompasses the entire clinician supply funnel, from provider growth and recruiting to onboarding, engagement, experience, and retention. Utilizing analytical rigor, the Senior Manager will balance strategic and operational priorities to maintain and scale the clinician network, anticipating and meeting the demand for clinical services. Key focuses include enhancing workflow efficiency and cultivating a clinic culture that prioritizes responsive, high-quality patient care. This position requires a highly analytical and systematic thinker adept at transforming complex problems into structured, actionable plans and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Funnel Optimization: Own and optimize Wheel’s supply funnel, including internal processes, systems, and workflows, ensuring they are designed for scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Clinical & Marketplace teams to ensure excellent holistic clinician training and onboarding practices, and to align clinician supply with patient needs.
  • Clinician Advocacy: Act as a critical "voice of the clinician," consistently surfacing clinician and business issues/opportunities and building business cases to inform broader Wheel roadmaps.
  • Proactive Engagement: Consistently "play offense" by identifying opportunities to enhance clinician satisfaction, reduce churn, and increase engagement.
  • Team Management: Manage a growing team of operators.

Clinician Supply & Growth:

  • Lead the end-to-end clinician acquisition strategy, including recruiting, top-of-funnel supply planning, and longitudinal care workforce development.
  • Develop scalable sourcing models to attract high-quality and high-performing clinicians to Wheel.
  • Define and align long-term recruiting strategies with Wheel’s growth trajectory and evolving client demands.
  • Own key performance metrics (OKRs/KPIs) related to clinician supply, ensuring visibility into funnel performance and recruitment effectiveness.
