Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or other scientific/technical subject area required. An advanced degree, such as an MBA or a Master's, is preferred
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Work in Cold Room/Freezers (-22°F/-6°C), Office, and with hazardous/toxic materials
  • Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead Toxicology product line operations to achieve on-time delivery, demand-based capacity, safety, quality, cost, and continuous improvement through lean leadership
  • Ensure product-specific manufacturing goals are achieved and production and laboratory standards comply with GMP, ISO, FDA, OSHA, and other company manufacturing and safety guidelines
  • Meet the product line's financial targets, key performance indicators (critical metrics), and benchmarks, including productivity, operating income, revenue, margins, inventory, and growth
  • Manage Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) for the value stream and minimize excess and obsolescent inventory
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with life cycle leadership to align with evolving customer needs, including commitments on availability, delivery, services, and documentation
  • Provide leadership for continuous improvement in quality, manufacturing cycle time, and total cost by driving the PPI Business System and strategies to decrease costs by at least 3% per year
  • Conduct routine, focused operational reviews cascading to the production floor for rapid issue resolution and performance recognition
  • Listen, support, engage, and encourage employee suggestions to achieve results while fostering a culture of accountability
  • Monitor, review, and improve manufacturing and quality activities; drive investigations, corrective, and preventative actions
  • Collaborate with senior leaders of major customers and internal cross-functional partners to provide outstanding service
