Requirements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of combined public accounting and in-house corporate tax experience
  • Ability to execute all operational aspects of the US GAAP tax provision function for a multinational publicly traded company
  • Extensive experience with U.S. consolidated and state income/franchise tax return compliance
  • Exceptional process management skills, including proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of ASC 740
  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. federal and state income tax law
  • Familiarity with U.S. international tax concepts and compliance matters
  • Preferred: Licensed CPA
  • Preferred: MS Taxation degree
  • Preferred: High tech industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage preparation of the quarterly and annual worldwide tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
  • Prepare tax-related SEC disclosures
  • Prepare quarterly technical memos on matters related to the tax provision (including valuation allowance, uncertain tax positions, etc.)
  • Ensure proper documentation of the quarterly and annual tax provision processes to satisfy SOX 404 requirements
  • Coordinate with foreign offices with respect to preparation of non-U.S. tax provisions
  • Assist with GAAP and non-GAAP effective tax rate modeling and forecasting
  • Foster effective working relationships with finance, legal, accounting, IT, and other functions on a global basis
  • Coordinate and liaise with external financial statement auditors and outside tax advisors
  • Manage preparation of the US federal consolidated and state income tax returns
  • Prepare or review all federal consolidated, international, and state workpapers
  • Partner closely with outside service provider to ensure efficiency and quality of the return preparation process
  • Review federal consolidated (including forms 5471) and state income/franchise tax returns prepared by outside service provider
  • Manage annual US Federal and state R&D credit data gathering and calculations
  • Prepare and coordinate quarterly estimated tax and annual extension tax payments
  • Provide support for federal and state income tax audits
  • Resolve federal and state tax inquiries, requests, and notices
  • Support implementation of cash tax planning strategies
