Responsibilities

  • Lead across the BMS matrix to develop and deliver strategically aligned medical publications, scientific content, medical information, medical education, training content, and congress presentations
  • Ensure endorsement of medical communications plans by relevant governance bodies prior to execution, and continuously develop and maintain plans in alignment with scientific landscape, Local Market Medical, Global Medical, and medical market-level strategy
  • Serve as the Medical Communications point of contact between medical and other matrix partners
  • Provide medical communications management oversight
  • Understand communication needs and own the pull-through and execution of the Scientific Narrative, development and execution of functionally integrated publication plan, content plan, and application to the Scientific Communication Platform (SCP)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to BMS internal audiences on communication landscape, HCP preferences, publication and scientific content planning, data disclosure/dissemination, and represent BMS scientific communications to external investigators, key authors, and journal editors
  • Promote and reinforce publication principles among authors and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Good Publication Practices and BMS standards
  • Ensure collection of insights to deliver high-quality medical communication for impactful customer dialogue
  • Identify and drive opportunities to enhance processes, tools, operating procedures, and outsourcing strategy for consistent delivery and alignment of standards
  • Foster collaborative relationships with academic & clinical experts, publishers, medical associations, and other key stakeholder groups; participate in external initiatives to foster trust and respect
  • Partner with TA Medical Communication Leads, Market Medical, and other stakeholders to assess, plan, and allocate resources (budget, medical writing, biostatistical services) for timely delivery of high-quality outputs
