Requirements

  • High School Degree and Twelve Years Experience; OR Associates Degree and Ten Years Experience; OR Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years Experience; OR Masters' Degree and Six Years Experience; OR Ph.D
  • Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics operations within Gilead and understands external best practices on a global basis
  • Able to develop solutions to a wide range of complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to create written communication that is properly structured providing clear, concise messages that draw well supported conclusions with some guidance from line manager where appropriate
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good organizational and time management skills, including working knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • In depth understanding and application of relevant principles, concepts, practices, and standards, along with an in-depth knowledge of industry practices
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulatory guidance, including pharmaceutical GMPs and GDP
  • Able to apply established organizational policies, and interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to department policies and procedures as needed

Responsibilities

  • Clear understanding of logistics data within an SAP managed environment
  • Focus on data accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to drive the use of standard SAP processes globally
  • Process mindset with the ability to deliver process best practice and standardization
  • Works on problems of moderate to advanced complexity where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
  • Has a working understanding of logistics KPI’s; what to measure, standard definitions, and appropriate targets
  • Has experience of real-time performance reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Has a track record of building relationships with suppliers to deploy Supplier Relationship Management and ensure suppliers are delivering Gilead objectives
  • Demonstrated track record of driving supplier performance, with some guidance
  • Can partner with Logistics Procurement to engage suppliers
  • Can prioritize to support execution of a series of initiatives of differing levels of priority
  • Can work with cross-functional stakeholders to agree priorities
  • Can clearly articulate priorities and progress to a range of stakeholders, including Exec. Director & Vice President level
