Senior Manager, Product & Tech Analytics (Personalization, Programming & Search)
Position Overview
The Product and Technology Analytics team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Personalization, Programming, and Search Analytics function, supporting Disney's expanding streaming services (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+). This role is integral to the broader Product and Tech Analytics function, which collaborates closely with business teams to measure, understand, and provide insights across Product and Programming.
Our team specializes in exploratory data analysis, advanced reporting, data modeling, and visualizations designed to inform business decisions and deliver actionable recommendations. We foster cross-functional collaboration within the Disney Streaming organization and with stakeholders across The Walt Disney Company to generate insightful, compelling, and strategic analyses and plans.
This position requires building strong relationships and partnering with Product, Business Operations, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams to implement innovative methods and best practices that drive product improvements. The work produced by this team is expected to significantly influence product and business planning at all organizational levels.

Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant data analytics experience.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in Personalization, Programming, and Search analytics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Leadership: Demonstrated track record of building and leading teams of analysts, data scientists, or data engineers.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to simplify complex issues and distill data effectively.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Provide leadership and establish the strategic vision and direction for the Product & Tech Analytics team, focusing on personalization, programming, and search.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including the Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu Product teams, as well as Content Programming business partners.
- Team Management: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to develop short-term and long-term product roadmaps informed by rigorous analytics. Lead a team of analysts, guiding them in quick analytics, anomaly detection, and product bug sizing and remediation.
- Data Development: Develop and maintain essential business logic, data pipelines, and key metrics for evaluating the performance of personalization, programming, and search products across Disney+ & Hulu.
- Dashboarding & Reporting: Oversee the creation of operational dashboards using tools like Looker and Tableau to track performance over time, facilitate exploratory analysis, and provide self-serve capabilities for partners.
- Innovation & Collaboration: Foster team growth through coaching, mentoring, training, and leadership development initiatives.
