As the Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining and analyzing competitor intelligence, informing the evolution of our enterprise strategy. You will be responsible for monitoring core and disruptive competitors and developing executive-ready reports throughout the year. The role contributes to the broader enterprise strategic planning function.

The Senior Manager will be part of an exciting, highly-visible team that works with executives across CVS Health to use data-driven insights to inform strategic plans.

Job Requirements

  • Lead the development of executive ready reports including industry landscape, competitor profiles, and strategic implications to our enterprise, e.g., Board of Directors materials.
  • Proactively track and synthesize competitor activity and monitor strategic actions and financial performance, leveraging equity research, company data and third-party insights reports.
  • Lead and participate in moderately complex financial assessments that deepens the understanding of competitors’ investments and stock market performance.
  • Build analyses and models on competitor revenue and profitability, transaction comparatives, and sensitivity or scenario analyses
  • Develop and work with structured data files from multiple sources, including internal and external data sets.
  • Design visualizations and frameworks to simplify and communicate competitor activity.
  • Engage with Enterprise Strategy team members and select business partners to gather new insights and share thought leadership to inform strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with corporate functions and other business intelligence teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on the team as necessary.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Detailed-oriented and excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience developing analytics, insights and trends based on market and company activity.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience analyzing company business models financial performance, including share price analysis, market maps, and benchmarking.
  • Strong project management and executive communication skills
  • 2+ years building financial models in Excel or advanced financial analysis software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and advanced skills in Excel
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Less than 10% of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous consulting or investment banking experience
  • Experience with Crayon, Alphasense, Salesforce or HubSpot

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, health management and policy or a related field required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

  • $90,480.00 - $199,144.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
