Responsibilities

  • Oversee Capital One’s portfolio of more than 20+ affiliates, developing and managing relationships, including serving as central point of contact, owning communication strategy, holding regular meetings, managing email communication, tracking ad hoc questions, attending industry conferences, providing feedback, and managing contractual terms
  • Continuously monitor performance and market/industry/competitive trends to make recommendations for optimizing partnerships and driving business value
  • Oversee the team in managing payout changes with affiliate partners and managing an allow list for marketed products
  • Research, recruit, and onboard new affiliate partners
  • Onboard new products with existing affiliate partners
  • Manage bi-annual process to review affiliate performance and offboard identified partners
  • Put together and manage roadmaps for different affiliates
  • Support technical integrations between affiliate partners and Capital One
  • Manage the creative development process, either as a creative consultant to affiliates (reviewing content through legal process) or partnering with internal creative team/agencies for ads on affiliate sites/emails
  • Ensure affiliate partners meet all compliance requirements, effectively managing risk for Capital One
  • Conduct monthly audits of vendor Impact's work for accuracy
  • Oversee the legal review process for affiliate-produced content
  • Maintain a complete and accurate list of monetized URLs
  • Complete ongoing monitoring and reporting to ensure compliance, liaising with risk to document and remediate issues
  • Manage the relationship with third-party vendor Impact, influencing their platform roadmap
  • Work closely with internal partners (business team, data, tech, Brand, PR, legal, ESM, risk, etc.) to manage affiliate marketing strategy
  • Liaise with PR team to align on communication strategy with affiliates
  • Liaise with data partners for performance feedback loops or invoice reconciliation
  • Oversee budget management process to ensure accurate payments to affiliate partners
