Candidates should possess a minimum of 7 years of progressively advancing experience, with at least 5 years of management experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience. They should have experience with multiple levels of consolidation and intercompany transactions, including a strong understanding of foreign currency revaluation and cumulative translation adjustment requirements, and sound knowledge of US GAAP, with knowledge of European accounting rules being a plus.
The Senior Manager, Accounting will lead and review the global monthly close and consolidation process, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting. They will develop and implement accounting best practices, lead the initiation to improve the internal control environment and financial quality, develop and mentor an accounting team of three based in Europe, and assist in managing the Business Process Outsourcing team in India. Furthermore, they will collaborate with business partners to improve process efficiency and financial information accuracy at the product level, and assist in managing relationships with local advisory teams on compliance audits and topics such as tax and audit.
