Requirements
The Senior Mainframe System Programmer requires 8+ years of experience in mainframe hardware support and configuration, professional experience using technologies such as z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, JES2, OMVS, extensive experience within Linux, C, and scripting, knowledge of Disk infrastructure, and a good understanding of TCP/IP network configurations. SAF/RACF knowledge is required, along with knowledge of the latest IBMz processor generations z14, z15, and z16, excellent problem determination skills, and the ability to build effective networks and create comprehensive business/operating plans. A comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance with regulatory processes is also needed.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Mainframe System Programmer, the candidate will support and maintain the Mainframe, upgrade the Mainframe to the next generation of IBM Processor, troubleshoot for day-to-day incidents and problems, and provide out-of-hours support for the implementation of hardware changes. They will also be responsible for communicating complex information effectively to various audiences, building relationships across business areas, and ensuring the company’s compliance with relevant regulatory processes.
