Requirements

Candidates must be experienced and qualified lawyers in the US or Canada with Canadian employment law experience, interested in HR-tech. They should possess extensive legal practice experience, preferably in labor and employment law, and demonstrate the ability to learn and master various company applications and systems. Creative legal thinking, excellent communication skills in fluent English, proven ability to work autonomously and lead projects, and experience mentoring junior legal professionals are essential. Experience working remotely is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Senior Legal Counsel will support and partner with internal stakeholders across various teams, managing client expectations with a customer-centric approach. They will proactively identify areas for improvement and help develop excellent template contracts, playbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge resources for all products, with a specific focus on the EOR product. This role involves taking ownership of complex legal projects and mentoring junior team members to shape the legal department.
