Requirements

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution and be admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of in-house employment legal experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, plus 3+ years of law firm experience and training. Experience with global labor laws, employment standards, remote/hybrid workforce legal frameworks, and drafting/negotiating complex employment contracts and HR policies is required. Strong critical thinking, strategic planning, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and work with limited direction.

Responsibilities

The Senior Employment Counsel will serve as the primary legal advisor on all global employment law matters, managing workforce risk and enabling strategic workforce planning. Responsibilities include advising on a broad range of employment issues across multiple jurisdictions, drafting and reviewing employment contracts and related documents, advising on compensation matters, supporting global workforce planning, monitoring labor law changes, resolving employment disputes, developing internal training, managing outside counsel, and advising on AI technology's impact on employment processes.
