Position Overview
Humana Healthy Horizons is seeking a Senior Learning Design Professional to join our caring community and help us put health first. This role involves leveraging instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to identify and address knowledge or performance gaps. The Senior Learning Design Professional will work on moderately complex to complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and organize content, design solutions, and write storyboards, scripts, performance support materials, mobile learning content, and manuals.
- Ensure course materials are current and relevant to training needs.
- Provide instruction and guidance to Facilitators.
- Utilize collaborative tools to enhance learning.
- Plan, organize, and develop training curriculum, materials, job performance aids, and programs to meet specific training needs.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and learner analyses to inform curriculum development and measure training effectiveness.
- Design instructional materials and learning solutions aligned with business objectives and adult learning principles.
- Develop high-quality content, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning programs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to implement learning solutions across various platforms.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives, using data to recommend enhancements.
- Use consultative skills to commit projects and conduct needs analysis with clients to determine whether learning solutions are necessary or relevant.
- Influence department strategy and make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, working without direction.
- Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4) years of professional experience in learning design.
- Three (3) or more years of instructional design, training, and/or learning development experience.
- Proficient level experience with the Articulate 360 Suite, specifically Storyline 360.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.
- Strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Proven experience applying the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model, and adult learning theories and strategies to instructional design projects.
- Understanding of curriculum design, including data analysis, gathering content from SMEs, and utilizing adult learning principles.
- Prior demonstrated capability leading, developing, and maintaining a dynamic and high-performing team culture.
- Ability to work with agility and flexibility, embracing an ever-changing, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to facilitate and deliver an exceptional learning experience to all types of learners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge in Medicaid managed care.
- Business operations content design and facilitation experience.
- Experience using a wide variety of training tools to effectively facilitate a wide audience.
- Experience in managing projects or processes.
- Expert organizational skills with fast turnaround time.
Additional Information
Workstyle: This is a remote position with minimal travel.
Travel: Up to 5% travel annually, possibly outside of your state of residence for team engagement meetings and training.
Typical Workdays & Hours: Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). This position must be flexible in accommodating work schedules in order to satisfy business needs.
