Requirements

10+ years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) for enterprise or cloud-based systems
Proven experience designing data-centric or distributed platforms that serve multiple applications or domains
Solid understanding of Kafka and event-driven architectures for high-throughput, real-time data processing
Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
Strong grounding in microservices, API design, and system integration patterns
Experience with machine learning and AI model integration in production systems is a plus
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate across technical and business teams

Responsibilities

Architect and develop scalable, event-driven services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and distribution pipelines leveraging Kafka and other streaming technologies
Build and optimize a shared data platform that serves as the backbone for multiple front-end applications and analytical tools
Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to integrate models and insights into production systems
Ensure performance, scalability, security, and compliance across distributed, cloud-native environments
Drive engineering excellence through best practices in code quality, testing, DevOps, and CI/CD automation
Contribute to the platform roadmap, identifying opportunities for modernization, AI enablement, and business impact
