The Senior IT Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting key IT initiatives, including network upgrades, building and managing compute and storage clusters, and providing essential on-vehicle technical support. This role is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the integration of advanced technologies within our growing Texas operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and expand high-performance networks, computing, and storage infrastructure.
• Lead security initiatives and ensure adherence to security standards.
• Oversee incident response planning and execution for timely and effective handling of security incidents.
• Manage a fleet of Linux servers, including deployment, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Automate network and server deployments using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Maintain strict documentation of Network and Server infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Compute, Support, and Hardware teams.
• Coordinate with facility management to ensure the functionality of HVAC, cabling, and UPS systems.
• Continuously identify and implement opportunities for automation and system improvements.
• Engage in physical activities as accommodation, including lifting and moving materials up to approximately 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
• Proven experience building high-performance compute clusters.
• Demonstrated experience developing and scaling highly available storage clusters.
• Experience with container orchestration.
• Experience working with multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
• Open-minded, collaborative team player with a willingness to take ownership.
• Proven experience in establishing and automating IT processes.
• Proven experience setting up multi-site, high-throughput, scalable networks.
• Experience managing hybrid device environments (Mac, Windows, Linux).
