Requirements

6+ years of experience in building software for, operating and supporting large Linux based web application environments
Completed either a comprehensive software engineering boot camp, CS, CE, SW, MIS or equivalent degree, or has relevant work experience
Excellent communicator who works well with geographically distributed teams
Obsessive compulsive (in a good way)
Experience with software engineering and SRE principles
Experience with scalable web architectures and cloud technologies
Proficiency in coding, particularly in Golang, Python, Ruby and PHP
Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Puppet for configuration management and Terraform for infrastructure management/provisioning

Responsibilities

Apply software engineering and SRE principles while leveraging infrastructure automation tools to build, maintain, monitor and operate complex infrastructure
Assist in defining the scope of projects
Drive issues to completion, marshaling resources in high-pressure situations
Work closely with peers to expand knowledge and understanding of the technologies used in the platform
Take initiative and work beyond the scope of a task to improve existing systems and code
Provide support to the Engineering and Customer Support teams
Diagnose and problem solve issues on the platform
Participate in on-call rotation
