Senior Indirect Tax Analyst

This role supports the review of excise tax returns for various countries across the EMEA region and assists with managing EMEA region VAT/Customs compliance.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting and/or Taxation.
• EMEA VAT Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience with European/EMEA VAT matters.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate experience with Oracle.
• Knowledge: Depth of knowledge with Customs excises duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the review of excise tax returns for various countries across the EMEA region.
• Assist with managing and maintaining indirect tax and customs processes for various WFS entities in the EMEA region.
• Support the management of relationships with third-party service providers and tax/customs authorities across the EMEA region.
• Assist with advising in a pro-active manner on excise tax related matters to various business units (Supply Chain, Sales department, customer service team).
• Showing an interest in taxation/customs and be pro-active in staying on top of new tax and customs developments.
• Review of Account Payable (AP) and Account Receivables (AR) invoices required for relief and recovery of VAT.
• Ensure that VAT payments are made and received on time and any issues are dealt with.
• Reconciliation of VAT ledger with VAT reports and VAT returns.
• Support the management of the indirect tax aspects of external tax audits across the EU.
• Provide ad hoc support to other VAT team members where required.
