Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
Minimum of three years of public accounting experience, or a minimum of five years of corporate accounting (or a related field) experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and higher-level functions)
Prior experience with large ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft is preferred but not required
Strong understanding and experience using Accounting Principles
Prior work experience with intercompany and/or multicurrency transactions is preferred but not required
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to effectively and autonomously solve problems
Responsibilities
Gather data from various sources on a monthly and quarterly basis to update journal entries, accruals, and amortizations, and load them into the general ledger
Analyze journal entries in multiple foreign currencies generated by third-party bookkeeping firms, communicate any issues, and monitor resolution
Perform financial statement analysis, including month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year variance analysis, and provide detailed explanations
Prepare monthly account reconciliations to detail records or sub-ledgers, proactively monitor pending items, perform follow-up as necessary, identify issues, and make corrections
Participate in automation projects, including data clean-up, data preparation, testing, and documentation
Prepare and provide requested support documentation to internal and external auditors
Assist team members and offshore internal/external accountants as needed
Show willingness to learn new tools, and work on ad-hoc projects as needed
