Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience
Expertise in both frontend and backend development
Working proficiency in frontend technologies: Javascript, React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS
Working proficiency in backend technologies: Python, Django, or similar
Working proficiency in databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
Working proficiency in cloud & DevOps: AWS, GCP, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI)
Experience designing APIs and integrating with external systems
Familiarity with secure coding practices, performance optimization, and testing frameworks
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and grow
Strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and dedication to continuous improvement
Experience working in production environments, comfortable tackling moderately complex technical problems, and take initiative in driving projects forward

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and services within The Zebra
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features
Develop clean, reusable, testable code across backend and frontend codebases
Drive technical design and architecture discussions
Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to other engineers
Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the codebase and processes
Contribute to planning and prioritization, helping the team deliver predictably and effectively
Act as a technical leader for the team and grow other engineers through example and mentorship
Write clean, scalable code, participate in architecture discussions, and take increasing ownership of features and systems over time
