6+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or similar cloud infrastructure provider
Strong experience with both frontend (TypeScript, React) and backend (GoLang, Python, or Java) development
Deep understanding of web application architecture and system design for scalability
Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Ginkgo
Knowledge of databases such as Postgres, DynamoDB, and BigQuery
Comfort with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar tools)
Nice to Have:

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Go and frontend applications in TypeScript to power Bolt’s checkout and merchant dashboard experiences
Drive the development of the Connect-specific merchant dashboard while also evaluating and enhancing the overall merchant dashboard experience across Bolt
Collaborate closely with design, product, and data teams to build intuitive, performant checkout flows that optimize merchant and shopper conversion
Optimize PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and Elasticsearch databases for high availability and responsiveness across merchant-facing applications
Lead technical initiatives and incident investigations, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior engineers
Partner directly with merchants to understand dashboard and checkout needs, troubleshoot integration issues, and propose scalable product solutions
Ensure dashboard features and checkout systems maintain compliance with PCI, data privacy, and fraud-prevention standards
Build and maintain REST APIs and webhooks to integrate merchant tools, analytics, and commerce platforms (Magento 2, BigCommerce, Salesforce Demandware, etc.)
Use Datadog for logging, monitoring, and tracing to ensure reliability, alert quality, and system transparency
Identify inefficiencies, automate workflows, and create proactive monitoring tools to improve developer and merchant experience
