Requirements

Candidates should possess strong JavaScript programming skills specializing in React and its ecosystem, experience developing and deploying JavaScript web applications in high-traffic environments, a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Scrum), and familiarity with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure. They should also have knowledge of backend integration using REST APIs, WebSockets, or GraphQL, with appropriate data structures and stores.

Responsibilities

The Senior Frontend Engineer will spend a significant amount of their time working on production services and applications for Matillion, collaborating with the broader team to understand and deliver work that contributes to the teams’ goals, writing code, unit testing, and managing the entire workflow from completion to production release and ongoing maintenance and support. They will participate in code reviews, contribute to research projects, explore future opportunities and new technologies, develop an understanding of the teams domain and architecture to handle risk, change, and uncertainty, and continually improve ways of working.
