Front-End Engineer (React)

Salary: £55K - £65K Location Type: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Engineer with deep React expertise to join our small, dedicated team. You will play a crucial role in building our software platform from the ground up, utilizing modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, and AWS. This is a key position where you will significantly influence the user experience and how patients access care across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of modern, responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Translate product and design requirements into high-quality, reusable code.
• Optimize application performance and scalability across web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• Champion front-end standards and code quality best practices.
• Help evolve our design system and contribute to front-end architecture decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of front-end development experience.
• Expert-level skills in React.
• Deep knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, etc.).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
• Passion for great UI/UX and creating seamless user experiences.
• A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
