Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
  • 3+ years of finance experience
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles
  • High business acumen and strategic thinking, with ability to collaborate on customer-centric solutions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision
  • Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and partnerships
  • Ability to clearly communicate (verbally and in writing) the financial implications of various decisions, including to senior executives
  • Comfort using IT systems to pull and analyze data
  • Willingness and ability to perform detailed execution work
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product and Brand Marketing to develop strategic pricing recommendations for models, engine variants, options, and packages
  • Perform competitive pricing assessments by understanding competitor OEM offerings and prices; monitor the market and suggest price changes to optimize profitability
  • Maintain close partnership with vehicle program teams, coordinate pricing inputs to business cases, and ensure on-time deliverables for program gate reviews
  • Build and maintain detailed pricing files, calculating net sales revenues based on proposed pricing
  • Create management presentations on proposed pricing and present to leadership (Marketing, Finance, Program Team) for approval
  • Execute approved pricing in GM’s systems for vehicle window labels and billing systems (current product)
  • Coordinate with Marketing to ensure appropriate window label content and test labels for accuracy before implementation (current product)
  • Provide key vehicle revenue assumptions to Product Development Program Finance for business case development (future product)
  • Perform feature value studies using competitor pricing, GM costs/margins, and customer willingness-to-pay survey data
  • Understand volumes and per-unit net sales revenues for assigned vehicles; serve as key financial contact for vehicle revenue in segment P&L
  • Maintain outstanding relationships with business partners; anticipate partner needs proactively
