Requirements

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in an executive advisory, enterprise architecture, technology consulting, or senior solutions role, with exposure to large-scale, real-time or data-centric transformations. A proven ability to engage, influence, and advise C-level and technical stakeholders at major organizations is essential. Experience designing operating models, ways of working, and governance for technology platforms like data streaming, cloud, analytics, or enterprise integration is required. Thought leadership, including the production of technical frameworks, playbooks, or industry-leading content, along with strong presentation and facilitation skills, is necessary. A strategic mindset with hands-on technical acumen, the ability to synthesize best practices, and deliver practical solutions in complex environments are also key requirements. Passion for organizational change, platform adoption, and creating market impact through strategic and operational initiatives is expected. Knowledge of Apache Kafka and/or other streaming technologies, proficiency in other languages, and experience designing strategic big data, stream processing, or other distributed systems for Fortune 1000 companies are advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Senior Executive Advisor will lead strategic advisory engagements with major enterprise customers to support digital transformation through real-time data streaming. They will partner directly with executive stakeholders to develop strategic visions, organizational structures, and technology roadmaps for event streaming platform adoption. Responsibilities include designing and delivering tailored customer workshops, playbacks, and executive reviews to benchmark capabilities and facilitate transformation. The role involves authoring, adapting, and sharing practical frameworks and industry best practices on data streaming, including ways of working, governance models, and platform adoption. Driving the development of Centers of Excellence for event streaming to enable organizational scaling is a key duty. Producing and presenting thought leadership content such as blueprints, assessment tools, and strategic guides to shape market understanding is also expected. The advisor will act as a trusted sponsor and advisor to align Confluent resources for customer success and mentor internal talent to support team-wide capability building.
