Extensive experience in modeling, analyses, and planning level designs of transmission lines and substation facilities in an electric power system
Experience with reliability studies including power flow, transient stability, short circuit, and electromagnetic transients
Familiarity with planning standards (e.g., NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE)
Familiarity with planning software packages such as PSS/E and TARA (a plus)
Collaborative, technical, and innovative power systems engineering skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead while collaborating with team members
Responsibilities
Collaborate, perform, and lead regional and local reliability and/or market driven studies including voltage, thermal, PV, transfer limit, short circuit, and stability assessments
Participate, perform, and lead compliance studies for Eversource Energy service companies
Analyze and assess complex transmission systems at numerous voltage levels
Document and communicate results and recommendations including data manipulation, report writing, and summary presentations
Continually strive to innovate and integrate improvements to increase the precision and efficiency of transmission planning
Develop and apply thorough understanding of subject matter to mentor and support the team
Represent Eversource and collaborate with internal teams and industry peers on regional activities (e.g., NERC, NPCC, ISO-NE)
