Requirements

7+ years of professional software development experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with Java (17+), Spring Boot, and Node.js
3+ years of hands-on experience with React and Next.js
2+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js
Proven experience with Docker, Kubernetes (specifically EKS), and AWS cloud services
Experience with MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and CircleCI (preferred)
Solid understanding of building and consuming REST APIs and microservices architecture
Strong proficiency in Java (approx. 50%), React (approx. 35%), and Node.js (approx. 15%)

Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with clients as a key member of their scrum teams to translate requirements into scalable, reliable cloud-based applications
Lead development efforts with a focus on Java, React, and Node.js
Design, write, test, document, and deploy robust code using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and React/Next.js
Build reusable code, libraries, and backend APIs, optimizing for speed and scalability
Design and implement data storage solutions using MySQL and Redis
Leverage expertise in Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes (EKS) for containerization and cloud infrastructure management
Support and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI)
Participate actively in design and architecture discussions and agile sprint team ceremonies, understanding microservices principles
Contribute to the product vision and explore/propose new technologies
As the foundational member of the Mexico team, coach, mentor, and provide local support to future Metafora engineers
